Online Course Selection

We are going to pilot an online course selection process with our current grade eleven students (first with one class and if all goes well, the rest of the grade elevens later in February). We will begin the process at the school by getting students to log in to Maplewood and walk them through the steps needed to select classes. Once through the process at the school, students will have a window of time (see timelines for specific details) to make any edits to their choices before it closes and is locked.

It is our expectation that during this window, parents/guardians will share their thoughts with their children to ensure each student has selected the courses their family feels are best. As opposed to the old format (paper copy signed by a parent/guardian), this window will serve as a passive consent from parents/guardians as they have been given time to make changes to their child’s selections.  As in the past, once the selection process is closed, the office will go about the task of creating a timetable for each student which will be sent out in the summer and any potential changes to that timetable would be made in the fall. The current school coursebook can be found on the school website (on the Homepage under Important Notices) and both students and parents/guardians are encouraged to view it to help determine the courses they may be interested in.

Note:
Changes to course selection during the allotted window, can only be made through the Maplewood student portal, not through the parent portal. Please take a look at the links above on this webpage for a more detailed description and timelines relating to the process.
We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we pilot this process.  If you have any questions, please contact us at school.
