Substance Use & Addictions Awareness Week

Every year, Manitoba Substance Use and Addictions Awareness Week provides an opportunity for Manitobans from all walks of life to engage in meaningful discussions and explore solutions for addressing the harms caused by substance use and addictions.

In 2025 the Manitoba Substance Use and Addictions Awareness Week runs from Nov. 16-22 and the theme is Anchoring Hope.

This year’s theme, Anchoring Hope, perfectly describes the work of the Mental Health and Addictions Library. The library is often the first point of contact for people in their recovery journey. They don’t just help people find resources to get them started or help them continue their recovery, they also help healthcare staff to support those people every step of the way! Here are several resources from the Mental Health & Addictions Library to help further this important discussion.
